Talented creator and all around nice guy
Chris Streger hit me up a while back about contributing to his annual
To Resolve Project where artists from all around contribute by creating iPhone wallpapers illustrating their new year resolutions. This year 12 designs will also be chosen to be printed so you can not only have some inspiration on your phone, but also hanging around your home.

What many would characterize as the "Colorado lifestyle" is a way of life that has long been true for me, even before making the move to the Centennial State. This year, I hope to embrace that mentality even more fully, and in the words of William Penn, "advise justly, assist readily, take all patiently, defend courageously, continue a friend unchangeably and Adventure Boldly."

Signage went up this past week at the new office space. Things are coming along great and we're gearing up for 2012 in lots of big ways. For me, it's always exciting to look back on the year and realize how different it has turned out that what I imagined it would. This sign, while just some metal and plastic on a building, really symbolizes some permanence for the design studio and a commitment to bringing the best work I can to Denver, where I now officially call home. A lot of hard decisions in direction have been mowed over, ideas pursued, revised, expanded upon, and now we're labeled, locked in, and proud to be a
Denver based design studio.

Over the last few months things have been busy, more than the normal even. Between building out the new design studio, rebuilding this site, moving, getting married, and the consistently heavy load of work from both clients new and old, I'm excited to say that although slowly, a lot of positive progress is happening. For a little glimpse into what's been happening, here's a few pics of our soon to be new desks as we were constructing them at Nathan's home.
Signage is supposed to be going up in the next week or so. Below is a little process preview of the final piece that you'll soon be able to spy from the road.

Swing by anytime for some tea or just to say hi. Friends are always welcome.

Want a chance to be on The Berrics? I mean, who doesn't? Thunder Trucks is using the new truck I designed with them for Mikey Taylor to give you the chance. If you're around LA, head out to Explore the Berrics - Westchester Skatepark this Saturday, October 29th, for the launch of their collaboration with professional skateboarder Mikey Taylor. Not only will you be one of the first to see Mikey demo his namesake product, 20 lucky attendees will have a shot at snagging a free set of trucks, donated by Thunder for the event, as well as the opportunity to show off their skills to the world in an upcoming episode of Mikey Days.

Explore the Berrics - Westchester Skatepark is located at:
7000 West Manchester Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90045

I'm a stickler for creating meaningful work, even when it means that it won't be popular or profitable. My Artcrank piece this year is a continued reflection of that focus, and although not trendy, I love the opportunity to create something that has so much meaning to the city and the culture. My poster for Artcrank SF 2011 is a tribute to the true bike heritage of San Francisco. Sparkies, the first all-bicycle delivery service was founded by Carl Sparks in 1945 in SF. Without minds like Carl's the city and culture of San Francisco would not be the same. The poster is now available for purchase at the CHROME store in SF for a limited time.
